Please also explain what it was that made them look so bad.

Everyone had such stunning dresses..however I was confused by Cameron Diaz. The dress had the potential to be beautiful but there was so much going on. The puffy sleeve and around the waist there was a silver accent. She had matching(what seemed to be bracelets) on both wrists. It was so overwhelming, and her darker hair and red lipstick was bold all at once. I love red lipstick on fair skin but she should have had one focal point in the look not 50!!!

I actually thought Jennifer Love Hewitt's dress was terrible, she looked like she was attending a fancy dress ball, not the Golden Globes, which are traditionally meant to be a little more casual than the Oscars. Plus there was an overload of voluptuousness spilling forth from the bodice.

Did not see all of them. Thought Vanessa Williams looked scary, America was boring, J.Love Hewitt = awful, Cameron Diaz = awful.
Tina Fey --- not a good look. Jessica Biels looked too old for her.
And I know Meryl is getting old, but that was too frilly.
Loved Rachel Weisz though!

you know what they all looked pretty good this year the standouts though for me: Vanessa Williams was the most drop dead gorgeous, like that dude said if looks were a minute she would have been all day..man what a looker! Drew Barrymore was cute as always and Salma Hayek was astonishing! she just gets prettier and prettier, everyone looked really nice, Jennifer Hudson IS a Dreamgirl and America Ferrarra was angelic.

Nicolette Sheridan... the eighties called, they want their dress back. Fishtail is sooooo out.
Plus I'm sad to say it but Cate Blanchett's black lace number looked like it came from the set of that movie Beetlejuice. A setback for someone who rarely puts a foot wrong.

Beyonce. She looked an absolute mess. Way too glittery. And why the mermaid look all the time. AWFUL!!!
Cameron Diaz. Why the layers upon layers.... So not cute!!
There were others, but those stood out.

No offence, but who cares, it's not important and how shallow. Maybe all " celebrities " and the people who " worship them " should all spend time for a year or two and feed the homeless at your neighbourhood shelter.
