Ugh. at the starting up i idea this is a submit hostile to spanking and that i became disenchanted, yet spanking a baby for no longer smiling?! i understand how complicated it would want to be even as they gained't smile for a photo, and alot of cases even mom and father can't get them to grin. yet I actually have not began to fulfill a photographer who couldn't get the fussiest youngster to chuckle and squeal. it truly is outrageous. i think sorry for the youngsters and also you, that should be a puzzling challenge to be in. Me and my massive mouth might want to assert some thing stupid and that i'd be fired the first time (lack of self administration). sturdy for you for no longer leaving that undesirable boy on my own with that guy!

That's supposedly an insult too in certain cultures.

My mom used to whip her sandal at me cause she could never catch me.

My grandma would whallop us all with the wooden spoon...possibly because she was always in the kitchen and that's what she always had in her hand!

And Boss Brat, it's actually legal to spank your kids again...at least in Canada. I don't believe in that...the sound of my voice yelling is enough to get anyone into submission.

The worst thing I ever saw and never forgot it was when I was in kindergarten, and the principal came (no word of a lie here) and pulled down this boy's pants, butt naked from the waist down, put him over his knee and whalloped him with a ruler....can you believe these things were actually permitted back then? This was late 60s.

I got spanked with a Hot Wheel race track. Man, those things smart! But it was the closest thing around that my Dad grabbed and he wasn't wearing a belt around the time I got in trouble.

My Mom broke a ping-pong paddle over me when I was about 6.

LOL, a sandal huh? I like to tell my man that I am going to beat him with my shoe, but I never followed through with it. I am humored about this.

My parents used wooden spoons, until they started to break them on us. Then they moved on to a 15 ply antique paddleball paddle, (with the ball removed of coarse!) But my brother ticked off my dad pretty bad and it got broken over his butt. Then dad moved on to the belt. THIS was creul and unusual punishment as he was such a large guy. The belt would rap around us and leave a welt all the way around. So you know, we behaved pretty good after that!

My brother made the mistake of making a wooden paddle in shop class. My mom painted the words "BUTTWARMER" across it. Its name really gave it justice too. My butt is still cooling off.

When "Buttwarmer" wasn't available, I remember my dad using a rubber fan belt. My dad is a mechanic and always had them handy. Really made us kids think twice about messing around with his tools again. "But dad, they make great lightsabers. I was going to be Skywalker next!"

Just a hand. And it was never done out of anger, it was just punishment. I never did any of those things again, and to this day I'm a very non-violent person. Spankings don't make violent people.

Sad.

The broken antenna off of a radio...that one left a scar. Thanks mom. She was also fond of spatulas - metal ones that went "twanggggg" when she hit the counter with it to let us know she was coming.

Amazing I turned out half sane (half being the operative word here)

My Mom broke a ping pong paddle over my butt. That was 33 years ago, and I still remember it clear as the day.
