Are you going to an open call or a go-see?

An open call is when you interview with an agency in order to get them to represent you. For this, wear either a tee or tank top and either form-fitting jeans or a denim or black miniskirt. Also, wear (or bring) heels so they can see you walk. Do not wear visible makeup and if you wear your hair down, bring a hair tie so you can put it up if they ask you to. Beyond that, just bring a few normal snapshots (at least one full length and one clear shot of your face).

A go-see is when you already have an agency and you are interviewing with a client for paying work. I would ask your agency about what they want you to wear. One rule for go-sees though is no jewelry and very natural makeup only. Your agency will also provide you with a portfolio book to bring (they deduct the cost from your earnings).

If you are going directly to a client and do not have an agency, I would strongly caution you not to go. Reputable clients go through agencies. Otherwise, you might be walking into something shady. People who advertise "models wanted" directly to the public often end up really wanting women for porn.

Call the organization with whom you will audition. They are the only ones that can accurately tell you what they expect a prospective model to wear to the audition.

wear something complimenting and form fitting but not slutty. jeans and a t shirt, a dress. bring a bathing suit too. wear very little to no makeup because they need to see a clean slate to see what theyre working with. Youre there to promote yourself so just be yourself.
