So many people have cliamed that it is not racism. Racism doesn't need to be outright for it to constitute racism. There are clearly underlying racial issues. Some have said, Jermaine is also ethnic and he isn't receiving racism, but you can be racist against one ethnicity and not another. Sometimes i think it takes a person of colour to recognise racism. However, having said, most of the people issuing complaints are caucasian

It's hard to say, I think they are jealous of Shilpa because she is more successful and better looking than them, and they are just bitchy girls. It seems more like bullying to me than racism, but saying that they seem to bring her race up a lot in a rediculing way. The things they said about Indian people perhaps not cooking food properly and that was why they were thin was a jaw dropping remark. I couldn't believe they said that even if it was meant as a joke. And asking shilpa had she stubble, what was that about.

It's blatant bullying, and worse as neither dirk, cleo or jackson are supporting shilpa, they all keep quite. If we say endomol/channel 4 should be stopped/punnished etc for allowing it/doing nothing, so should alot of fellow housemates etc.
We had the same bullying last year with jodie marsh, and previously rasist taunting to makosi. There's always bullying in the house and that's wrong full stop, but why do people only care when they can label it racist?.
Honestly i don't really care if it's bullying about an accent or the colour of their hair - it's all wrong.

Jackiey was racist, allegedly Jack was too, but that was never shown on air, but no, I don't think Danielle, Jade and Jo have been - they have been horrible to her but its down to her personality - she could have been white but it would make no difference - it's because of the things she does and the way she carries herself. I do think they are being cruel but in all honesty, she came across as so arrogant when she first went in that I wouldn't like her based on it either

yes she is being picked on, but it seems everyone is saying its racist because shes indian. nothing racial has been said.

if it was someone white who was being picked on then people would say it was just bullying.

its getting to the stage that you can say someone is asian because its racist to even distinguish between them and a white person

if shipla was white the press and the papers would be slamming her too
you could argue that if jade was black the mockery she had would be racist too?
