The top has been somewhat neglected over the past year. I have cleaned it thoroughly and also used Weiman's cleaning cream but it is still discolored. There is nothing that I can feel on the surface. It just seems to be discolored. I don't know if it makes any difference, but the cook top is black. Any other suggestions?

I use the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. It works wonders & is less messy than using the weiman's cream.

My mom uses a product called CERAMA BRYTE & she says it works well. I have a stainless steel gas range & I tried it on there as well. I have to clean it with something else for the steel, but I like how it works also. As for the discoloration, I think that is just going to happen. I know mom's range is also discolored & no matter how she cleans it, it is still that way. It doesn't seem to make a difference in the operation of the burners.

I think the last time I ordered some it was like $18.00 for (2) 28 oz. bottles.

Soft Scrub cleanser. If that doesn't work get the new scrubbing sponge by Mr. Clean. It will even clean scuff marks from linoleum!

We had the same problem. It seems that the color can eventually change. We tried for two years. Even GE could not help us. Sorry I can't be of more help.
