Why did your last pet die? Not to point fingers or anything, but if you had... say... a hamster that died because you let it's water run out... I can see why they'd not want to replace it. If that's not the case, then I dont' know. Maybe they felt they had to do the majority of the animal's care? Without knowing your situation, I can't really say. Good luck, but until you're on your own, it's pretty much your parent's decision. And even afterwards... your landlord will dictate what pets you can or can't have. We can't always have what we want (believe me... if we could, I'd have horses!).

Just wait to grow up and move out of the house, and you'll be able to have all the pets you want. I'm sure your parents have a good reason to be holding off on getting another pet; it's not because they're trying to be mean to you or something. Let it go for now, and talk to them in a few months to see if they've had a change of heart. Good luck.

Deal with it. Sounds rude, but that's life and life's not fair. Mommy and daddy won't always agree and they have their reasons.

Maybe they don't like having animals under their roof. Maybe they think you're irresponsible. Maybe they don't want to deal with the heartbreak of a dead animal. Maybe they don't want to see you heartbroken because of another dead animal.

If it's because you're irresponsible, which you should know (based on the care of your last pet and possibly cause of death), show them you can take care of something somehow. Take initiative, take full responsibility of something to demonstrate to your parents you can handle it.

If it's another reason, that's just how it is at your house. Not much you can do if your family's not willing to welcome a pet, which should be a member of the family.

accept life. or catch a raccoon. I would go with the raccoon thing. They are easy to catch if you can find a raccoon nest, and they keep well in small boxes. if no raccoons are available, then climb a tree, find a birds nest, and get a baby bird. Parents love that kind of stuff. If anything, itll teach em a lesson in trying to tell you what you can and cannot do.
