I would like to retrain as a nurse and was wondering if anyone knows how I could do this? I am 23 and have professional qualifications in the field I work in and would need to work as I train if possible. Would it perhaps be better to be a nursing auxilary before joining a course? Is a diploma ok or would a degree be better? Hope someone can help! Thanks

I did the acces course into nursing, that might give you a better idea of whether it is really what you want to do. Most nursing courses are full time and range from 3 to 4 years. The diploma might be easier but not as respected as far as I am aware. Whichever course you go for, you will have to go to University, not sure how you would fit in a work life as well.
Have a look at the link below and see what you think.
Good luck with it all xx

Im sure you dont need a degree to be whats essentially a glorified cleaner(a cleaner that would rather let ppl die from MRSA than actually clean).

Get on as a porter and work your way up to lazy pompous wannabe doctor, inspired by glorification of nursing staff ,as incredibly dynamic professionals on TVs "casualty".

Nursing 30 years ago was real nursing. They dont have a clue now,bad attitudes laziness and delusions of grandeur.
