I've gain 15 lbs in the last 6 months. what can I do to lose it?

Don't push yourself too hard if you are barely starting out. Maybe try running a few minutes. Try doing push ups of 15 reps each time to start out with and then add 10 each day after. The same with sit-ups. If you can't do full push ups, try doing them on your knees until you can increase your strength. The more cardio you do, the faster you will lose weight. If you just lift weights, you will just gain muscle on top of fat and it will get harder to lose weight. Stick with running on the tredmil, the eliptical, and bike. Good luck.

Create a little 3-day workout

Day 1 -- cardio -- go out to the park and step off 50 yards. Do wind sprints (10, 20, whatever you can do -- you'll eventually start doing more, and mixing up the distances -- 50, 70, and 100 yards -- and then you'll go find a hill to run up).

Day 2 -- resistance -- pushups, situps, squats (deep knee bends). Do sets of 10, 15, 25 of each, then start over (eventually you'll do more).

Day 3 -- yoga -- get a DVD with an hour workout on it, and work at it until you can do the entire routine. Check some out at the library if you're unfamiliar with the various programs.

Day 4 -- take a break.

Day 5 -- start over at Day 1.

Walking about 20 minutes a day and working your way up to 45 minutes a day and drinking lots of water has always worked for me

I'd say start with cardio... just move around for 30 minutes to music. Just anything that will get you active and moving around will help you burn calories. Hold in your stomach while you do it to help if that's where you've gained weight...
