haha... seriously tho. .it's my bf's birthday so i decided to get him a watch. i got him a nice michael kors watch from nordstroms, about $160.. not bad right? well i get home and my mom and aunt are complaining that watches are more of a wedding gift (they are very asian.....i guess a good gift for a groom is a NICE expensive watch from the bride's family). anyway, i dreamt that his parents were talking about me, saying that i only got him a cheap watch and not to take it, and that he only wears like expensive type of watches!!

funny huH? do u ever have nightmares that are completely related to stuff u did during the day?

The way dreams work is that after you "fall asleep" your brain doesn't stop working. You brain no longer automatically receives input from the real world through the senses, but images, feelings and thoughts that were intense during the day are still energized after you fall asleep. But instead of thinking logically about these things, the brain associates this material based on established associations. This "story" doesn't have a logical flow and it doesn't have the groundedness of the real world but the imagery and feelings came from the real world.

Your dream seems to mean that you're worried about the opinions of family. Their opinion counts a lot and when they contradict you, you lack the confidence to stand up to them. Also, what they say is often interpreted as criticism from them, making you feel insecure.

Definitely piece my days together and even bits from a commercial or a song into my dreams. But if this was "telling you something" I would say that you have doubts about what others think about you and your bf. Maybe you are afraid he wants someone with money or more education? Or maybe his family does? Just a stupid guess. You are the dreamer and only YOU can tell what your dreams may have meant and even then, it might have been the pizza!!!! Good Luck!! @8=)

Yes, and the reason that happens is because the events that are fresh or most prominent in your mind are the first to be dreamed about. For example, if you get into a car accident and total your car, chances are that you'll end up reliving that experience in your dreams that night. Many people suffered horrific dreams about planes flying into buildings after September 11. It's not that you are unusually stressed, your mind is just hung-up on it, that's all!

Yes, I have nightmares that are related to troubling things that may be going on during wakefulness. At times though, I have them and when I awake, they make no sense at all.
