factor in the weather

The weather certainly helps the Bears. They are used to playing in it, the Saints are not. I think it will be the Bears. Reggie Bush will play the worst game of his pro career, mark my words. He will have a huge turnover, like the Rose Bowl.

I really don't think that the weather would be a big factor in this game. The Saints have more offensive weapons than the Bears, so bad weather may actually help the Saints (Thomas Jones looks kinda banged up and slow, although Benson is coming on).

I guess I'd rather have Deuce and Bush, though, especially for the short passing game which could be there even in bad / cold weather.

Grossman's unpredictability is a key. If he can connect on his passes decently, and not turn the ball over, then it's a ballgame. I think that it's critical that the Bears aren't forced to be one-dimensional. The Bears Defense is obviously one of the best in the NFL, although to give up what they've been giving up (yardage and points-wise) the past month would be a cause of concern for them. If Grossman has trouble throwing, then the Saints would like bring a safety up to help stuff the run, and then after a number of 3 and outs, the Bears D would be getting worn down and susceptible to a big play.

If the weather is decent, then the Saint's offense could be gangbusters.

Special teams, though, definitely favor the Bears.

Home field is huge for the Bears, too, if for no other reason than they won't have to put up with the crowd and noise at the Superdome.

I think that the coaching is a toss-up. both have done a fine job this year, but the edge goes to Lovey for his experience.

Tough call when factoring it all in. Bears are favored by 3.

I'm not a fan of either team, but admire both for what they bring to the game, but if I were to bet it today, factoring everything in and then coming back to Grossman vs. Brees, I'd have to take the Saints and the points (which hedges my answer, doesn't it!).

Just my opinion.

Bears will Win, not only because of the weather factor, but because the defense will have had the week to update their game strategy, since they were off for 2 weeks they lost the momentum. It might be a close game by 7 or 3 but Bears will win.

I naturally must choose the Bears because me and the hubby are huge fans...but when it comes down to it I do believe that it could go either way. It just depends on who brings their game...no doubt it will be a very good matchup. I want to say that home field advantage and weather really do play a good part in the Bears having an advantage, but if you're a truly good NFL team and you can play with the best of the best then should weather or where you play really have that much of an effect on your game? Like I said, it's going to be a good game, and I'm hoping and praying that my Bears come out on top.

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!

I am a bears fan but however i'm unsure as to if they are going to the super bowl. Grossman is so sporadic and when he's out of the pocket, he's has a tendency to fumble or not throw it out of bounds near a receiver and so the bears tend to lose a lot of yards. True the offensive linemen should step it up but so should grossman. Also, the bears defense is not as good as their first 7 games. They have been letting opponents score a lot more nowadays. Brees and Deuce is a dangerous combo and with Bush,,fuggadabout it.

Saints. One word says it all "QB". Beeze is a much better QB than Grossman. Led the NFL in passing and has the better passer rating for the playoffs. Broken down D of Bears will struggle with all the weapons the Saints bring at them.

I think the Saints will win, simply because they have a strong desire and reasons to uplift their home city that the Bears just don't possess.
