If you have a nosebleed aren't you supposed to put your head between somebodies knees ?

You are supposed to put your head forwards .I used to have about three or four nosebleeds a day when young and was told this by my doctor and doctors at the hospital.If you put your head back once you put it down again the blood rushes forward and can start bleeding again,as well as getting a mouthfull of it.Mind you when i was a kid i got used to the taste before i started putting my head forward.

Generally your own knees for a nosebleed though it depends who's dealing with you at the time.

You've got it backwards love - if you've got nosebleeds - someone is supposed to put their head between your legs.

i had a really bad nosebleed one day and my mum had to call the doctr, they told me to sit with my head forwards and pinch the bridge of my nose as hard as i could - if you tilt your head backwards you end up with a load of blood in your mouth......before then I always thought you were suppose to have your head back!

At least with the Nose bleed, and your head between some one Else's knees you won't smell much!

pinch the bridge of your nose and it usually stops. I don't know about the knees thing. I think you just arent supposed to put your head back

You hold your head back and put pressure on the bridge of your nose to stop the bleeding. Also use a cool damp wash cloth! *Smiles* ♥

I, as a fully trained 1st aider, recomend, not between the knees BUT between a pair of BOOBS, it wont stop the nose bleed, but it will take your mind off it.
