In April I'm intrested in comments on your experiences to Disney World. How are the lines are there long waits and how are the food prices? Would you go again? Thanks for honest input.

Lines are long (so long that there were rides we didn't have time to go on!). Food prices are outrageous. Wouldn't go again even if you paid my whole way.

However, it will probably be very different in April than it was in July.

The lines are always long. They have a Fast Pass that basically lets you reserve your spot in line. You can go and ride another ride and come back when the time on your fast pass says. You basically get to wait in line for 2 rides at the same time. Disney is very efficient and their lines constantly move.

I prefer Universal Orlando, but have been to Disney 4 times in the past 3 years. (I live in PA)

Food prices are high and they don't have anything that is fantastic. There is a really good breakfast/pastry shop at MGM though. They do have meal plans that I think will save you some money. You should be able to find details on their web site. I am not sure if it's only for resort guests.

I would recommend staying at the resort. If your budget allows, the Boardwalk is beautiful. I have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs. Both are "moderate" resorts, but Port Orleans Riverside (not french quarter) was nicer.

I would definitely go again.

We went to Disney World a little over a year ago. The lines weren't bad at all - especially if you start early in the day. It seems other people on vacation sleep in!

Food prices are expensive - BUT if you buy the food-inclusive package, it is WELL worth it. It doesn't seem like much - one counter meal (fast food), one sit-down meal, and one snack a day - but there is a TON of food at the meals. It is a very good deal.

I thought I would hate going, but I had an absolute blast.

Enjoy!

In April the lines and everything are terrible. Late March/April was when we used to go but we've started to switch to later in the year and its a lot easier to get around, shorter lines, etc.
But, Disney World is a magical place.

I have literally just asked the same question. Everybody thinks it's still busy due to it being everybody's easter holidays and this is when the American's get their tax returns. The advantage is, it's not as humid which means the wait in the queues in the parks are slightly more bearable! We're so excited about going again! We went last July and got engaged :-) It was fantastic-there's something for everyone :-). Hope it helps

Its a toss up. Easter time can be busy with holiday travelers - but it isn't nearly as bad as the summer time when everyone and their brother is on holiday. The good news is that the weather is nice - not unbearable, but still warm. Visit on a weekday only and you should be fine.

anytime you go to the parks near a holiday are going to be crazy....presidents week, easter/spring break. christmas week...to get the most out of it, plan if you can not to go near those times, or stay at disney and take advantage of thier early opening for hotel guests but that can be busy too since only certain rides/attractions are open and everyone from all the resorts are trying at the same time to use them...have fun and hope this helped

I love disney and i really just think it's worth going!!! There are something called fast passes which is when you go to a ride early, a disbutor gives you a fast pass and it allows you to come back at a specific time during the day to "hop" the line. It's such a great idea! And please gooo!! please!!it's a small world afterall...

Go the Fastpass! Best idea ever! Go to the more popular rides and swipe your ticket to get an allocated time to get on the ride. Then go do something else for a while, go on less popular rides, and then when your time comes up, you don't line up, straight to the front, brilliant!
