I have noticed on here some of the responses from mothers stating that they have used a "Dummy" on their baby. I'm probably gonna regret asking this, but what is a dummy? Save all the stupid comments about it being me and blah, blah, blah. I am just really curious as to what a dummy is?

Dummy = pacifier.

In some parts of the world, a pacifier is called a "dummy." This is because the pacifier is a stand-in for when mom isn't available to comfort nurse. "A dummy mummy" so to speak! :-)
