hi! My period isnt due to start until Saturday but I couldnt resist and I just took a test. Its the "answer" brand. There is a very very faint line there that showed up after about 2 minutes....should I just wait and test again Saturday? Has anyone gotten a false positive?

I tested 7 full days before my period was due on the "Answer" test and got a positive! I was pregnant. I tested again that same night with a clearblue easy test and it was positive too. The positive line on the answer one was very bold and showed up right away, proably within a minute and on the clearblue one same thing but the line was faint.
The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

Generally even a faint positive is a positive. If you bought a 2 test kit wait a couple days to retest and make sure you do it first thing in the morning. If you were you, Id be doing my happy dance right now! Congrats Mommy!

yes but you are most likely pregnant even if it faint try again thursday your hcg doubles every day or so good luck!!!
