Let's compare:
Playstation 2:
Good stuff:
1. It is so much cheaper than the XBox
2. There are more games
3. There are good games there:San Andreas GTA, Tekken 5,Kingdom Hearts and so much more
3. Control is very simple
Bad:
1. Graphics suck!
2. It does not come with online
3. There are a few games that serve Multiplayer games
Xbox:
Good
1. Exellent Graphics!!!
2. Comes with multiplayer option
3. Can save media files
4. Don't have to load your games, it is already installed!!
5.Good games I know, Halo and Fable
Bad
1. More expensive than PS2
2. There are a lot of buttons to press
3. There are fewer games than PS2
Well I have to say that the PS2 is better for an alround gaming experience, better third party support and innovation (singstar, buzz, eyetoy). But if you're into first player shooters and online gaming then you'd have to go for the Xbox.

I like the ps2 better personally. I have a ps2 2nd edition (or whatever you call the itty bitty one). My favorite games are Kingdom Hearts.
People who like shooters and gory games tend to like XBox better.
Take a look at the games available for each. There is a lot of overlap, but a few (seemingly the best games, actually) are console specific.

I think it really depends on the person. The PS2 was better for me because it had many RPGs to chose from. I felt the XBox was more generated for boys (to which, I am not). ...

Xbox is at least 10 times better, better online play, better games, oh and not to mention the better graphics!

none , the PS3 . but if thoes are your only options then go for the ps2 much better games. and it doesnt matter you dont have to play the kingdom of hearts c*** theirs also grand theft auto and call of duty 2 . it depends on the games you like.

it just depends on what kind of games you like. xbox is more geared toward shooters and racing, plastation is rpg games, and nintendo is for the cartoony wierd games.
