I work fulltime but am finding it increasingly difficult as I require oxygen alot throughout the day. I am entitled to high rate disability allowance but up till now didn't want to give up my independance or wages. How much will I get per week/month if I claim this benefit? I'm 25. Thanks xx

It depends onyour illness. i know someone with spina bifida and he gets 300pounds a month but i also know someone who gets 180 a month. It depends on the care componant and if you need help with getting around. You will get incapacity benefit and help with you mortgage or rent and council tax. Also free prescriptions ect.

This is why the North American economy is getting eaten alive by China. So many of our workers apply for "disability" it's obscene. And it puts a burden on normal hard working people like me. I'm a member of the best union in Canada if I wanted to I could go on disability the rest of my life because my shoulder has dislocated twice but I think that's lame to leech on the system. Go to work, do your job, and if you don't, don't expect any wages.

No one can tell you that except your employer. All companies carry different policies. If you are talking about federal, it is the same thing. They would have to tell you...Everyone is figured differently. No one is the same.
