I would never and the few situations I have heard of have been horrendous.

Estella...you have to be kidding....what effect? Let's see, being alone, no intimacy, making all decisions yourself, never getting help, those are just a few...all of which play havoc with your mind . If the man is in for a short time...you can survive if you want to. However, if he is in for a very long time..... the marriage will not survive.... don't waste your time making promises of faithfulness..... because all the good intentions will not make it so.

several years ago I was involved with a inmate.. I thought I was in love,and I gave the guy five years. The realationship was very demanding emotionally, meaning he expected me to visit every week regardless of the weather. He expected money in his account, along with the latest street fashion. He never wanted me to go out, with friends or family members.He called me everynight (collect) I finally had to stop the maddness, I realized wasn't in jail, I learned to love myself (more than i loved him) and decided to live.

Nope, never hung around with that class of guy. None of the men I ever dated were convicted felons or any other guy who in any way broke the law.
