Is there anybody out there who no longer feels that England is as good as it was? Customer service is rubbish, yobs are ruining everybodies lives and prices are soaring.
Does anyone else agree that this country has gone downhill?

No, we're all just getting older and more intolerant.

Prices soaring? Inflation hits an 11 year high at 3% - you obviously don't remember 30% inflation under the Thatcher government!

I disagree and think it's no worse that before.

Customer service is better - there used to be no customer service at all. The customer is more important now that ever before in the past. There are areas that need improving, but chances are that will happen.

Prices are soaring - Inflation's been around for a very, very long time. Prices go up, but so do incomes. If you look at what you own and take for granted and compare it to ten, fifteen or twenty years ago you will be amazed. The average household now has a telephone ( and a mobile), a couple of cars, several televisions, dvd players, etc, etc. And the prices of these items is coming down much more rapidly than before. The obvious product that has gone up in price is petrol, but if you take inflation into account, it's lower than it has been.

Yobs are ruining everybody's lives... Here I agree to some extent, but crime is not the problem it was several hundred years ago.

Has the country gone downhill? Yes and no. In some areas there are major improvements. In others serious decline. I think peoples' lives have generally improved, although probably not by as much as they should have done.

It is very easy to say things are getting worse. But generally this is just the problem of memory. Everything was always better how we remember it.

it could have been a great advance for the united kingdom economic equipment and could have been marvelous for the way forward for our babies. the international Cup might have boosted tourism yet regrettably Vladimir Putin knew something we did not before the pollturn into made, for this reason that he under no circumstances attended. How plenty did you pay the FIFA delegates Vladimir Putin? England gained a awful 2 votes yet Sepp Blatter admitted England have been so arranged that they might "host the international Cup the next day." the surprising presentation had all of us in awe. ...Corruption at it is appropriate. Our media will now hound FIFA and could look at them thoroughly for further info of corruption. it is what our media are sturdy at. pass and get them boys!

I like the word corrupt! I've always thought we live in a corrupt country, just seems like we hide it better than some other places!
I could go on and on about this but I won't bore you!

The world as a whole is becoming more and more corrupt I think. Good people need to make a stand against the corruption.
