WWF - Mostly people just know this as the place formerly owned by Vince McMahon Sr., if you're a die-hard fan...you know the ENTIRE story...but i'm not so that's all we know.

WCW - I think WCW used to be the AWA (American Wrestling Alliance) and then they eventually got sold to Ted Turner. WCW is dead

WWE - WWE is WWF...they just had to change the F because of a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Foundation.

ECW - ECW started out as it's own Eastern Championship Wrestling and then it was sold to Paul Heyman who created Extreme Championship Wrestling. ECW was killed by WCW and WWE but it has been poorly brought back by WWE. So essentially ECW is dead because now it's pretty much WWE Presents: ECW.

TNA - Total Nonstop Action...created as a branch of NWA. Owned by Jeff Jarrett and ran by Dixie Carter. I love this one the most personally. It is still most indeed, active.

NWA - Became TNA

UFC - UFC is not wrestling...it's mixed martial arts...but it was started and still owned by Dana White I think...it's still active, it comes on pretty much before and after TNA's show. It's on all the time.

WWF started with Mcmahon taking superstars from AWL lol. Nah, vince had a good idea that originated from his dad.

WCW started with another commish, dont think it was bischoff, maybe, but Vince bought them out.

WWE, same as WWF, cept World Wildlife Fund won name rights.

ECW logn time ago, dont think it was heyman who started it, but back then it was ALL hardcore. now revived by Vince, its deader than ever.

TNA dunno who started it, great idea with 6 sided ring, not gonna end anytime soon

UFC is real, so i wouldnt include it in here. prez is Dana White, and i love watching it. so yeah.
