Electricity travels somewhat slower than the speed of light.

If you want to quibble, you could argue that the speed of light in an optically dense medium could be slower than electricity in a conductor.

But that's quibbling. Light is faster.

The speed of light is 3 x 10 to the 8 metres per second approx.

I would imagine the speed of Electricity in a bolt of lightening is one and the same?

Generally speaking it is the speed of light. However, it is possible to make electrical signals travel at 4 times the speed of light, as shown in this New Scientist article.

Speed of light of course, light is an electromagnetic wave with dual nature...
while Electricity results from moving electrons, practically, it's impossible for Matter to move in the speed of light,..electrons orbit the nucleus near ~tenth the speed of light. Well as mentioned, Electricity isn't even close !

The speed of light is the fastest speed possible according to physics.

Electricity flows at speeds determined by what it is passing through - it will travel through copper much faster than it will travel through a less conductive material like air or water.

Just so you know, the speed of light (maximum speed possible) is 300,000Km per second or 186,000 miles per second.

Speed of Light, bar none. Light is basically energy waves that can travel with little or no restrictions. Electricity is limited by the material it has to travel through.

visible light as we know is part of EM spectrum along with radio and micro waves (all the same thing just different frequency) electricity is the movement of electrons from one atom to an other some things are better at this than other copper being one gold is better.
This means more of the electrons make it from one atom the next.
Light is faster being a energy wave and not matter (electrons have mass)

Light...electricity happens at nearly the speed of light.
