I am thinking of getting a new computer and an imac was the first thought to my head. I will be using this computer for almost everything. Should I buy it? I am getting the upgraded 17 inch or the 20 inch.

yes, it is worth it to buy a imac, no viruses, no spyware, the best editing software for videos and photos, and garage band, the best music making software around.

If you've got a duo core iMac, then I would say no. The difference isn't huge.
However, if you've been suffering with a Windoze machine, by all means get the iMac. They are great machines. Make sure if you get the 17 inch, that you get the higher end one and not the one with the combo drive and the integrated graphics card.

Absolutely, It comes with a good amount of software. It is a stable system, not that it is intel based you can run windows, should you feel the need. It comes with a lot of things that WIndo users only dream of.
Leopard comes out shortly and the Mac boxes should start shipping with the 11n wireless hardware soon.
If you are a student, don't forget to get your student discount, and if you are me are strapped for money, you can buy a refurbished one.
BTW- Apple came in #1 for customer support. If you are near a city that has an Apple store, they can help you with it, fix it and teach classes about it.

no it isnt because because I actually have an imac g5 and its really quickly its likely no longer properly worth it because u only were given a clean pc. only wait till eventually next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or sometime later yet no longer now. bou its your selection.

Definitely. Have been a PC user for a long time but was hesitant to switch to a Mac at first but I have no regrets. It works great and then some.
