I can't answer that... I hope all of that will come into play when the details are plastered across the nightly news!

However... Since I have never been kidnapped... I don't know the mental strain and abuse that must be taken in.

What I want to know is why the child [Shawn (Hornbeck) Devlin - The kidnapper's last name] posted a message and including HIS PICTURE to his PARENTS WEBSITE after he was abducted with the question, “How long are you planning to look for your son?”

That is a bit more intriguing to me!!!!

From the explanation given by an FBI agent on TV, these abductors know exactly what to say and do to their victims. Usually they will tell them something along the lines that " I know where you live and I will kill your family" things like that. Being so young, and afraid children believe what they are told. I've heard that mind control/brain washing is a very powerful and real thing. I hope that people don't try to blame the kids in this, it is not their fault at all in any way. I just hope and pray that they will be okay, and that the sick depraved creep who did this is punished to the fullest extent of the law and MORE..

My guess is that they are/were suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. In very simple terms, the captive begins to identify with the captor because they depend upon that person for their safety, and often, even their life. In extremely stressful situations, it is possible to brainwash a person by repeating the same lies over and over again. The captive becomes so grateful they've been spared that they begin to see their captor as a good person for sparing them.

I don't know and really don't want to comment ,but it does seem that they were there by choice and if they were ;they(policeand CPS)need to look at what was going on inside the home.
