I'm trying to put a picture of my boyfriend as my background and I'm not sure how

First of all, you need to upload your picture to a photo hosting site like Imageshack. A lot of them are free to join and allow you to share pictures with others on the web. Once you have uploaded your picture (the site should tell you how), it will give you an address in html code that will allow you to add the photo to your myspace profile.
Then use a website like Thomas' Myspace Editor to create the background for your profile. The program will ask you if you want to use a picture for your background. It is pretty easy to use, allows you to preview your choices before you use them, and creates the code to add to your profile. I'll post the link below. Other programs do the same thing, and if you know html code, you could write the code to add your photo as background on your own, without needing a program.
After you have the code, you go under the About Me section on your MySpace profile (where you type in a few things about yourself) and paste the code in. Now your new background and profile will be uploaded, and you're all set!

Try using photobucket to store your images and then copy the URL given when you upload your image. Take that URL and put it as your myspace background image URL.

At myspace, navigate to where you can change the background picture, click upload own, and choose the picture you want off your computer, it will upload then bam! there you go.

First upload your picture to imageshack or some other website like it.
Next copy the url to it.
Then go to www.mygen.co.uk and put in the url. This also lets you change other things about your profile, like text and whatnot. Yay me!

you goptta upload it to some website
like lets say imageshack
upload it and it will generate a link and you can use that link as your background
