Please use parenthesis > A = (1/2)(bh)

First: eliminate the fraction > multiply the denominator by everything...

2(A) = [2(1/2)](bh)

2A = (2/2)(bh)

2A = 1(bh)

2A = bh

Third: solve for "b" by isolating it on one side-divide both sides by "h"

(2A)/h = (bh)/h

(2A)/h = b

b = (2A)/h
