yes Tracking cookies are small files that web sites use to track where you go on the internet. They're generally harmless, but you should still probably rid yourself of them regularly if you're concerned about the privacy issue.

Hey Dudette,
Everyone is giving you the "yes" answer without telling you why.
You want to delete these because of the nature of a cookie. A cookie contains information about sessions you were in within certain web pages.
When you goto a web page, fill out information, sometimes, most of the time, the web page will hand you a cookie. Think of this cookie as your ID card, so that when you come back to that web site, you present this cookie, and then they give you the information you request.
Sometime, these cookies contain passwords. There are a lot of crackers out there just looking to steal these from you, to assume your identity, or even worse, steal your money.
So yes, every chance you get, delete your cookies. HOWEVER, this means that everytime you go to a web site, you may have to enter your username and password.

I prefer to delete them and type my password every time I log in to a site. Its safer not to save your passwords because the next person to use the pc can get into your e-mail and other accounts.
Theres some software that will help block cookies you don't want, stop spyware installing, and manage the cookies you want to keep so you can try these;
http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware. Use the Teatimer settings to protect Internet Explorer, and the Immuniser to stop malware getting on your pc.
http://www.ccleaner.com Cr*pcleaner Registry cleaner and privacy tool
Winpatrol is a handy utility that manages cookies on your pc and stops unwanted changes to your startup folder.

Spywareblaster works with Internet Explorer and Firefox. It won't uninstall spyware that is already on your pc, but it will prevent hijacks and other malicious changes to your browser.
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com
http://www.siteadvisor.com -MacAffee Site Advisor warns about malware on sites you are about to visit.

Your down loads won't work. You have to know what is a stray cookie from surfing. Spyware removal is not good if you cannot reload a program. You should reduce the temp inet file cache to reduce the roving stuff.

Yes. You delete all cookies. You should have various options to select a better spy ware if the current soft wares are not effective. If you need, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers...!You may be having a virus or spy ware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free anti virus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spy ware removers. You can download free soft wares at
