it won't read XBOX games or play music.

Send it back under warranty.

If it doesnt read games, music or DVDs, its almost at the end of its life. However, if your cheap like me! then open the whole casing, and get a can of air, and blow the whole thing out. In particular the lens of that disk reader. Make sure not to get too much moisture on anything. This is only a temp fix. You can do that, or try to sell it to a EB games store or whatever.

get a can of air that blasts air and shoot the air into the xbox..or it may be that the disks are too scratched...if problems progress you can send it back to Microsoft and they can fix it for a price..but that will cost you a pretty penny.

I got on internet and found out how to open it up and clean it but it still didnt work, the disk drive was shot. i bought one at pawn shop for $70. i also stopped plating dvds in it to help prolong it life. I hope it does anyway.

original xbox? if so...that's a common error...it could be lots of things...my old xbox did that and I used the site below to repair it...it's got loads of info and is a great resource.
if it's a 360, call 1800myxbox

Umm... get it repaired if it's the 360. Or buy a new one if your talking about the orginal xbox because they're really cheap now
