Pokemon is definitely not just for boys. If you like Pokemon it would be a good game for a girl. My advice: if you get the game don't get the guide for it because you won't need it. It is fun, but pretty easy.

Ranger (from what I think) is more or less a game where you traverse as Prof. Oak, using Pokemon to reach further parts of the game.

Don't know, my niece has it but she never says what version. I know its something like the older ones with a bit of a twist. but if you want to get a good game for girls nintendogs is a great one, but you probably already have it don't you. If your into Naruto its already out for the DS, so just a few examples
