There is no such thing as gay culture because gays and lesbians exist in all cultures in all countries all around there world - it would be like trying to define "blonde culture". Gays and lesbians in the United States might have some similar cultural reference points, they might have certain linguistic elements in common, but there is also a lot of variety because of the influences of class, religion, region, etc.

It is a good question though, because there must be some things that many glbts around the world do have in common, and in a lot of ways represent the ability of one group to unify in the face of discrimination and prejudice.

I wouldn't.

Some gays are obviously gay, some give absolutely no indication. If a gay isn't stereotypical, aren't they still gay?

a society of people doomed to segregate themselves from the rest of society because they believe that is the only way they can exist and trust me they are not the only "culture" that does this.
