Once your connected to internet i think there might be a built in microphone.
Otherwise, I don't know - u might be able to buy a headset.

a DS has pictochat and i think you will need to get a wireless card for the DS but you have to have Wireless internet for this to work.

Not the internet. But there is something called picto-chat. You can chat with your "mates" who are close by you, but not by internet though. Good luck! Hope I helped!
