I think the Pistons will be the team to beat this year. However, they simply cannot afford to look weak to a lesser team. I really think that the problem with the Pistons last year was they took too much for granted, as if going through the finals was just a formality, since they were going to win anyways. Then when the Cavaliers nearly beat them, it sent out a message to everyone else that the Pistons were human, that they were beatable. The Heat saw the exposed underbelly and went in for the kill. If they don't underestimate any opponent as I think they did last time, they have a good chance. If they get taken to a game 7, I don't think they'll be champs. The Heat may have plans of their own, so don't get too cocky Pistons!

I'd have to agree that the Pistons are the team to beat, but not because of Webber. Granted, he was a great player back in college and in his prime years while in Sacramento, but realize that in the past several years, he's always had nagging injuries that force him to miss games. He is like a Shaq, but one who has undergone microfracture surgery. The East is a very weak conference and it'll be tough for the Pistons to not go to the Finals, given the only other good teams in the East (currently) are the Cavs, the Wizards (who suck horribly on defense), the Magic, and the Bulls. The Heat are the champions and all, but I doubt they'll make it to the Eastern Conference Championship with the way they're playing, much less the Finals again. Unless Miami turns around dramatically, the Pistons will probably make it to the Finals.

Pistons helped there chances. But you got to realize Webber has only been like a 12 and 10 player. Nothing crazy but that may change in D-Town.
Wade is still getting to shoot about 25 free throws a game so it will be hard to beat them with the refs loving D-Wade as always

Cavs in the East, and Suns with the West, obviously. Pistons are done, they lost their best defender and are now a 6th/7th seed, and will lose first round to a quality team King James Forever

Even though the East is weak, with Webber coming Detroit can match up with anyone in the league.

The BULLS in the east and the ROCKETS in the west. Thats all you need to know till the playoffs. Pistons they have to beat the Bulls first. Do you think, sorry I forgot your from Detroit, does anyone know where that is? Or even care?

Wade getting more effective foul images than the total Mavs team spells the version. no longer to take something faraway from Wade, yet he became one hungry dude on the prompt. imagine having to carry the team by technique of your self reason Shaq ain't doing squat and Antoine Walker's hoisting 3s all day, that confident receives you fired up.

I have a feeling the Pistons are going to do something stupid and trade players soon. The Pistons remind of when Sheed was on Portland.
