Take stock of the name/address and what was in the wallet - turn it into the service desk. I'd be sure to write the person per their address on their ID of what I found to be in the wallet before I turned it in so that if anything was missing they would know that someone at that service desk helped themselves to the contents of it before returning it.

I would NOT turn it in at Walmart....
those employees are likely to keep the darn thing for themselves, ya know?

I'd take it home and call the person up and say I found their wallet. They might be so happy they'd give me a reward....
if not, so be it.

I would turn it in to customer service leaving my name and number to let the person know that i turned it in...id take an inventory list so when they got their wallets back at least we'd know if customer service took anything.

Since everyone here is saying turn it in to security, I will have to be different.
Set it on fire right there on the floor.
How about that.

Of course I would turn it in to the customer service, I am not a cave man.
Tell me why I am in walmart anyways I dislike them with a passion.

Take it to Customer Service. I would want someone else to do the same with my wallet.

This has happened and I did turn it in-it was just loose money at the drugstore and two weeks later no one claimed it and they called me to come and get it. I was just figuring it could be an old person buying prescriptions.

I wouldn't touch it. The floor at a Wal-Mart has to be one of the nastiest places there is. Have you looked at their floors. EWW.
