the flute is a very difficult instrument to master. I play both the flute and piccilo. I also play the saxaphone and clarenet and a few other instuments. The flute is definetly the most difficult and it will be hard to teach you over the internet. I know you want free lessons but what you realy need is a book for beginners. You can find a good beginners book at any good music or book store for around $10. You will find charts and diagrams and fingering patterns in it. You must learn proper egernomics (how to properly sit and hold your instrument) where to place your fingers. I dont know if you know how to read music but that can also be learned in a good beginners book. Askin strangers for help on line is not a good idea. I sugest saving up your money and investing in a teach yourself the flute book. good luck

What I would do is go to craigslist. There is a section that is things for trade. With your parent's permission and supervision you can offer to trade something like washing their dogs or their car in exchange for flute lessons. Another thing you can do is call local arts schools to see if they have scholarships or financial aid. Your parents will probably have to help you with that as well, because you'll need their financial information, but it's an idea anyway! Good luck with the flute lessons! I played for years and years. I loved it and I really miss it. One day I'll take it up again.........:)

I don't know of a place that will give you free flute lessons. If you have a music department at school, I would ask the band director if you could get lessons before or after school from him/her. This should be free. You could also contact the band director at your area high school to see if there are any high school students willing to help you.

I cannot give you flute lessons, sorry, but I will congratulate you on wanting to play a musical instrument. It is a wonderful hobby and once you reach a level, where you can play with other people, you'll have lots of great friends and experiences.

Check if there is a music program in your school or in your community. You might be surprised.

Good luck!

you could be a little bit sharp or flat each time you play. just make sure your in tune. Pull the head joint out if your sharp and in if yr flat. might wanna get a tuner. and for when you do high notes you wanna keep seady stream of air. Since you've been playing for only two months you probably dont play that high of notes but just keep a steady stream of air when you play high notes. and pretty much the same thing for low notes. but when you play the high notes you wanna tighten your lips to keep the air steady, like your blowing through a straw. thats the best advice i can give. hope i helped some! =P

u should ask the Band Director in the high school or the middle school band teacher because they can help you find someone to help you, and you could also use Craig's list (i think) and if those dont work , then go to the music store and request someone.

it's very hard to teach something like this online.. because there will be no one to show you the correct ombusure and the correct way to do fingerings etc... your best bet would be to join a community band... they are not very expensive... and school bands are free to join...
