They have got to be homemade. We do not use instant anything in this house. All the cakes, cookies, brownies, pies etc are made from scratch.
The potatoes are ALWAYS homemade, red potatoes make the best, with butter, sour cream, a little cream and salt & pepper. Yummy guess what got added to the list for supper tomorrow night.

Instant. Homemade is awesome, for sure. But they have so many different flavors of instant potatoes out there now, and no lumps.

i prefer homemade potatoes 100% more than instant. with the right amount of milk and butter, homemade surpasses instant by far.
