How can i solve problems with windows live messanger?

Something or someone has hacked into 2 of my friends accounts impersonating them i don' t know what i can do to solve this can someone help? i think this is problably a hacker or a trojan since we have a few that send automatic messages. i am afraid i could be the next target.

People can only hack into your account if they know your password or guess the answer to your secret question. The automated messages can be fixed by scanning your computer with spybot and adaware.
