did you ever hear the version on Johnny Cash's last album? He sings a duet with Hank Williams III...it's pretty good.

I never thought I'd say this, but, Hank's version is so perfect.

Elvis on one of the live discs from Hawaii introduces the song like this " ...this is the saddest song I've ever heard"...and you know he was talking about Hank's version.

Isn't it 2 different songs? Heartbreak Hotel is the Elvis song with the line about lonesome...
