the label on the bottle directs you to add 22g of medium to 1000ml of distlled water . how many grams should you weigh to prepare 250 ml of medium?

I'm assuming you meant 250ml of distilled water......it would be a quarter of it, or 5.5g

Well the ratio of medium added to the amount of water needs to be the same. If you're only adding 25% as much water, then you should only added 25% as much medium. Remember that when you change volumes always change by percentage, not a fixed amount (don't just subtract 75 from each, multiply by the factor of change) 1000ml * .25 = 250ml so.. 22g*.25= ?? (not doing your homework for you ;-) )

water is one of the few substances that is equal in volume as in weight. So 1gram of water is equal to 1 millilitre of water. Therefore 1000 millilitres of water is equal to 1000 grams of water(or 1 kilogram). But this rule does not apply to eggs, milk or flour...trust me , I'm a baker!

g:250ml

weigh 5.5grams and dilute with 250ml distilled water
