as a guy i say just to keep it simple, something he knows is inexpensive but shows that you DO care...maybe something that related to your relationship...like maybe the first movie you saw togehter, or a dinner at the place you first ate....im not sure it depends on your relationship, but something that he will know is heartfelt, and not something that will scare him....so not like a car or something lol....just something that will assure him you care
