I need help with my American essay. The essay is on
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (property)." From the Declaration of Independence

To what extent did the U.S. advance the goals of this passage during the years 1783-1910? Include specific facts to support your thesis. Dicuss at least three events or developments to support your views.

You could state the thesis that while those ideals were not always realized in practice they inspired important movements for social reform including: abolition [of slavery], women's suffrage [voting in elections] and the rights of labor.
