My grandson's belly button is brown. Now his mom is white and his dad is hispanic could this have anything to do with it..? He is white all over cept his belly button. Strange.... Burgy

Well has his pediatrician been consulted? Personally, I would think it that it is a birthmark that just happened to occur at the belly button. I mean they occur everywhere! My daughter has two right at the bikini line. I told my husband she's going to need laser lightening but he disagrees--he probably is planning on keeping her fully covered until he's picked out a husband for her. We call them her "chocolate spots". I lovelier description I can't imagine.
