At this point, no.
Here's why: I asked a question on my own thread asking where Barack stands on the issues. 9 people replied fo far; none with an answer to my question.
Furthermore, I checked his website, and nowhere on his website does it state anything about issues and where he stands, or even his voting record. I also did a web search and still can not find anything. I find it disturbing that there is someone stumping for a presidential nominaiton, yet does not make clear where he stands on the issues. After all, isn't that how we determine who we are going to vote for?
Perhaps all of this will change in the weeks to come, and we will learn more about his stance on important issues (foreign policy, the economy, education, healthcare, social security, national security)...but right now he's a BIG question mark in my mind.

No I will not, part of it is that yes he is democrat but in my opinion we need a smart military mind in that role, something we have not had in forever. I can respect the fact that he has been a good senator for Illinois, but he is not at all the person I want leading this country. Nobody has really made me say OH I HAVE TO VOTE FOR THEM! The closest that I have to a person I would consider voting for is Senator John McCain. I think he has a strong military background that could do us good right now.

Theoretically? Yes. I have no reason not to. However it would depend on a lot of things like his positions on issues, who is is running against, etc. If the republicans have a strong candidate and the dems appear headed to maintain control of congress, I could vote for a republican prez instead. I like the idea of having different parties control different branches of the government.

If I were a regisetered Dem...I would vote for him.....and if he makes it through and becomes the Dem party candidate and the Reps do not have a good choice, I will.......for several reasons.
1. He has not been around politics long....maybe that is what we need....a new face and fresh imput.....
2. I do think he is a little to liberal for my liking....so the only way I would vote for him is if the Reps give me something worse.......

No, he has absolutely no common values with me. He is a far left liberal voter socially & militarily with little experience in leadership (he has been a senator for 2 years & 1 week) & I am very conservative in my social & military views.
Even with experience past presidents have had problems, so I am not taking a huge chance on him.

I would vote for him only if I believe he would best suit to run this country versus his competitors. I am not familiar with his politics, nor his platforms, but if they were similar to mine, i can say i just may.
but i dont vote for color- i vote on abilities.

no.. something deep inside says "don't trust him"
well i say that with most.. but he's such a rising star.. something's got to give. . it's always the 'good looking choices' that turn out sour.
and he's got all this going for him and.. just seems like a fall going to happen.
