My local authority has installed Speed Bumps in my street but if anything they have made me drive slower...What is that all about?

They put speed bumps, down my mother in-laws street, whoever did them did a cr@p job, as the height of the bumps only proceeded to take nearly everyones exhausts off, including scraping the hell out of mine. They had to come back a day later and flatten them all and start again, bloody useless if you ask me...

The local authority probably has some occult motive that cannot easily be fathomed. Possibly it is some sort of funeral related short cut/initiative 'bringing the community together: past and present', that sort of thing.

That's the point... to make people drive slower. So when you're walking out to get your mail, you don't get hit by a 2000 pound vehicle going at 80 mph.

speed bumps are too make you reduce your speed or suffer hitting your head on the roof of your car if you dont.

actually they want you take those speed bumps at about 50 MPH...
