I don't see why not he averaging 28 points 8 assists and 2 steals a game and that should be enough to get MVP. Plus when he was out the Heat lost every single game. He back and they 4-2 on western conference road swing. Who are the Mvp voters do they even watch basketball man?

Nah Steve Nash is proof the MVP award has lost its credibility. Someone like Mark Madsen should win it this year.

First of all: Why are you posting the same questions? Just ask who should be the MVP instead of filling up the threads asking if this player or that player should win it.

Second of all: Kobe hit 81 last year vs Toronto. Do you even watch Basketball man?

Third: What do you consider an all star to be? Let's compare stats.

Wade is averaging 27.9 ppg, 8 apg, 1.9 spg. Since these are your arguments for Wade being MVP. But just for fun let's include Miami's 17-20 record in the weak Eastern Conference. OK.

Now let's consider say Gilbert Arenas. He's averaging 30.2 ppg, 6.3 apg, and 2.1 spg, and his team has a very nice 21-16 record in that same weak Eastern Conference.

Or how about we consider Allen Iverson. He's averaging 29.4 ppg, 7.3 apg, 2 spg and Denver is 18-17 in the much stronger Western Conference. But can you make AI the MVP when Denver is 4-8 with Iverson? Why not give it to Carmelo since Denver was 13-9 with him. Or how about Earl Boykins because he's been the main constant of that team?

How about Kobe Bryant? He's averaging 27.9 ppg also, he's got 5.5 apg, and 1.2 spg, and his Lakers are 25-13 in that oh so powerful Western Conference.

Here's the thing. MVP talk at this point in time is foolish. Let's see who steps up to get their team into the playoffs. If Miami ends up with 35 wins and out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference I don't care if Wade averages 40 points a game, he won't be and shouldn't be MVP.

Regarding your comments about Steve Nash. True he hasn't gotten his team to the Finals yet...but I recall only one man ever being able to get his teams to the Finals by himself. The MVP is the player who, throughout the REGULAR SEASON, has been most valuable to his team. I'm a big Kobe Fan, a bigger Arenas fan, but Steve Nash deserved the award last year and the year before. We'll see come late March early April, who deserves the MVP this year. Remember MVP doesn't mean the BEST PLAYER AWARD that would be the BPA. MVP is Most Valuable Player. We'll see who fits that role as the season comes to an end.

Until then this talk is foolish and borderline Stupid!!!

MVP means most valuable player, which translates to the person who is necessary for the team to do well. If you look at the Heat, prior to Wade's injury, the Heat's record was 13-15. Look further into the games that they won and you see a majority of them have been to weak teams. For Wade to be MVP, he needs to step up further and generate wins for his team when it counts (against good teams). Only then will he even be considered for the MVP trophy. Steve Nash, on the other hand, generates wins for his team against good and weak teams. He is the cog of their offense and if you look at when he became injured the last two years, you'll see that the team lost most of those games. With Nash, they're tough to beat. Without him, they're human. In the NBA, it's not about the stats. Without wins, all the stats in the world mean nothing.

You can't really argue D-Wade for not being an MVP candidate but he's missed quite a few game that could be a factor.

As of right now I would have to give it to Gilbert Arenas for leading that Washington team the way he has. A phenomenal player.

Kobe didnt get MVP cause his team was bad they didnt even make the playoffs if Miami Heat make the playoffs i think theres no doubt Wade should get MVP.

no dwade shouldnt becuase he cant carry his team by himself, he needs someone else and thats not mvp material. the mvps this year should be either kobe, who carried his team to a brand new level, or nash, who gets his entire team involved

He will get consideration.
But, I don't believe he will win it.
Steve Nash has a grap-hold of the MVP right now.
