It is different for different people.
Don't be fooled by what you see on the internet or on TV, because they are having special waxing or trimming done. Everyone has hair. Lots of it.
You get hair every place on your body. As you grow older it will show up more in some places. Yes EVERYWHERE on your body. Front and back. So don't feel odd.
Other than your legs that show, the best thing is not shave areas that are not normally seen by others. If you wish to remove the hair on some of those areas you should have them waxed.
The best thing to do is go to go with someone to a place that does waxing and let someone do it for you so you can see the correct way to do it. You can get bruses when you wax, they don't really hurt but you have to remember that you might get some and do the waxing a head of the time you are going to wear your swimsuit, etc.
If you have a close girlfriend then maybe the two of you can help each other wax. Some places are a little hard to reach... but if it is a place that other people are not going to see then don't waste your time. No one will see it anyway and hair is natural.
For the hair on your legs, shaving is fine.

The name speaks for itself. Pubic hair grows at the pubic area which is the groin.

I'm sorry other people are rather demeaning or negative in their answers, but here's an anatomically correct description: It generally grows on the outer labia and on the front of the groin region called the mons pubis. This can extend toward the belly button and/or onto the thighs, but the majority will be restrained to the outer labia and the mons pubis in most girls.
