Let's face it, most of the old fogies in office should have been voted out years ago. We need new people in office that put their country before their political agenda. People with common sense just won't run for office because of the continual harrassement they have to put up with. Only the old rich ones have the monies to run also.

Byrd is not senile, but he is a bit of an actor. He is highly intelligent and usually right on the mark if you ignore the theatrics and listen to what he says. He has enemies, because he is so old, he was around when the KKK was popular, and allegedly was a member.

It's amazing how cons keep criticizing Byrd's decades old KKK membership which he has disavowed repeatedly, but have no problem with Trent Lott praising segregation and Strom Thurmond quite recently.

He is so old he can hardly wipe his butt. Biggest pork guy that ever lived. Our senator Max Bacus and Uncle Ted Stevens in Alaska take lessons from old Byrd.

He is the prime example of why we need national term limits.

You haven't given any indication about what he's talking about so the question is pretty meaningless. I guess it makes you feel like a big man to come on an anonymous forum like YA and make fun of an old man who has served his country for over 60 years. We're in awe of you.

Byrd is cool. He gets a little excited when he talks but I love him. Have a stiff drink and change the channel

He reminds me of the drunk guy from Seinfeld who owned that dog named Farvel.

The dog Jerry had to take care of while the old rummy went on a bender.....

I love Byrd, cuz he's my favorite example of democrat hypocrisy. The ****** was a KKK member.

You'll know if he becomes senile. He'll switch his party affiliation to republican.
