For alot of reasons. Some do it to be ladylike and others do it so little boys can look or feel up there legs. That's why they wear they so called "sexy" clothes. Some do it because it makes them feel older. Some do it because they see others do it and want to be the same as them.

I have sat with my legs crossed since I was a child. I find it more comfortable and since I usually wear pants I don't care about whether or not there is a red mark there or not.

I prefer it because I'm more comfortable. I don't give a damn if something is un-lady like. If I like it and it's comfortable for me then I'll do it. I really don't want to get up at 5 am to do makeup so I won't do it.

i was taught by my mom to do it because it's more ladylike and people dont wanna see my hoo-ha. however, now i just do it because it's more comfortable to me
