Depends on which James Brown you are referring to. I happen to know two gentlemen named James Brown and they are both alive and well. Next time I see them I will let them know of your concern.

i really don't know where in this world you have been BUT Mr. James Brown died a few days after former president Gerald Ford. both of their funerals was on TV for an entire week during new years week.

He's not alive, but he's not buried.
He's dead, but his family is still going over the will. So his body is still above ground until it's decided what to do with his remains.

No. He's dead in a casket in his living room with the temp set on low waiting for his family to stop bickering about where to bury him.

No he's not. He died on Christmas Day but he is yet to be buried because they haven't reached a settlement on the location.

I really don't think so. What would be the point in faking his death? Besides, I don't think he would be looking forward to more jail time if he got caught doing so. Nope, I think he has passed away.
