YES. You need to order "Naked DSL". Broadband with no POTS (plain old telephone service).

Most (all that I know of) DSL companies require you to have service to the phone line connected to your home. You may eb able to get by with the most basic service, which could be as low as like $10-15 a month (or less for seniors in some areas), but you may get a better package deal on the DSL if you have advanced services on your phone package.

If you have no phone line, cable modem may be a better way to go, as it would probably cost less than the cost of phone + DSL. If that's not an option, try satellite (though it is more expensive).

no .it is not
unless you hook up with the cable company, but I have had both, and like the dsl through the phone line,it does not interfere with my home phone at all. There is a filter on the line that separates the dsl from the phone line.
I had many problems with the cable modem.

yes- I have DSL and no phone line at my home. You will need a cable line to run off of though. They can hook it up through your basic cable line so you do not need a phone line

According to our local provider - Yes. I don't know how. But Yes. They said we do not have to have a "phone line" but they can provide DSL service. I am assuming they still need the copper lines installed, etc. But you will not get phone service.

Yeah...I'm switching to Verizon DSL and I don't have a phone line. It's only 24.99 a month, only thing is you must make payments with a credit/debit card...you do need a phone jack tho.

sure , it truly is termed "bare DSL". besides the undeniable fact that the prices might want to be larger then having telephone and DSL blended. attempt dropping your telephone service to the bottom plausible service tier. right here it truly is basically $12 a month. upload $15 a month for DSL = sturdy deal.
