I'm trying not to get myself too worked up but I'm stressed beyond belief! I'm starting to get this attitude like, "I can't do this, I CAN'T DO THIS." and it's bugging me because I know I can and have to anyways. Plus I tend to eat A LOT when I get stressed & I really really really need to stay away from the kitchen. I have two exams in two different classes every day for the remainder of the week. Anybody have any tips on how to deal with what I need to do?

Plan a party for after your exams are done with. For example, on Thursday after our last final, I'm going to The Cheesecake Factory with my friends. It's something great to look forward to. That and the fact that the semester will be over, and this will be my only homework free weekend of the year.

I can totally relate to your question! I am one week away from my senior finals to get my degree. What helps me is to make sure i get plenty of sleep (8-9 hours for me) the night before any exam. make sure you have breakfast too. If you treat your body/brain right it will treat you right (at least better). As far as stress, well, there can be different types. if your worried about doing bad on the exams, try getting together with someone in the class or someone you know could do well on the exam and do some group studying. I find that being able to talk to others about those "finals" they often have the same issues and questions as you might. when it comes to the testing. If its multiple choice, take your time and always read through all answers and eliminate any that you know are incorrect. Good luck!

You DO need to eat, so don't stay away from the kitchen. You also need to pay attention to your body - if you feel sleepy, then take a nap or get a good night's rest. The more you stress about it, the worse it will be. Study, and then take the tests. That's it. I know it's easier said than done, but worrying about it will NOT make it better.

K, i'm in high school and i know EXACTLY how you feel.

what you should do is just go through your stuff a little bit every night; try spending 15-20 minutes going over work for each test, and then take a break for a few minutes, and then keep working. make sure to look over the stuff your teachers gave u, if they gave you review sheets.

also, try and go to bed early and get some rest; that will make you feel soooooo much better in the morning. then you could go over your stuff just a tiny bit while eating a good breakfast, and take your exams.

good luck, hon! i'm rootin' for ya!

Keep in mind others are going through the exact same thing you are. I have seven days of tests comming up, Midterms and I'm also freaked out. Just stop, take a break, go for a walk, or take a bath/shower. Just take breaks and reassure yourself your not alone and even if you do bad, which you won't because you're studying, it's not the end of the world.

I read this report about some chemical found in broccoli (sp?),
Apparently this chemical increases the production of these things in your brain which you use to learn, and remember things.
Basically the report said that people who ate broccoli 2 hours before studying retained more information. This chemical has been reproduced for this reason. You can go to the pharmacy and buy something called Ginkoba. Hope this helps.

I M currently in 12th grade and what helped me pass all my 1st semester exams was studying everything I had done for each of my classes. I looked at notes, worksheet packets, and I also participated in all the reveiws and even took some extra notes during the reveiew.

Hope this helps!!

1) study. If you're really screwed it does help particularly math and phsyics ones.

2) go out and play a game with friends. Laser tag does wonders

3) ice cream

4) bring a mint to suck on during the finals. Mint is aromatic and will help you relax and all that fun stuff.

5) Look at this site (http://www.paulryburn.com/grades/) it will help you know what you "need" to get for that class.
