Check here a very effective Sciatica Natural Treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Where is the pain in your leg?
Is it in your calf? If yes, put your leg straight and pull your toes up towards your body. Does this hurt? Is your calf warm and tender to touch? Is it swollen?
If yes to any of these, see a doc straight away as an urgent appointment or go to casualty, these are signs of a deep vein thrombosis............................
Otherwise do not worry, will be a sciatic nerve pain if the pain travels down your leg from your buttocks.
If you are worried see your midwife or GP.

ooooh how exiting not long to go then. would definately get it checked out legs tend to swell towards the end of pregnancy but it can be a sign of more serious things pre eclampsia etc however your body also produces a hormone to limber you up and relax your muscles ready for the big push and at this time it is so easy to pull a muscle without knowing it have you had much cramp as that can ache for ages afterward dont panic but do go and get checked out keep your feet up on pillows and things and rotate your feet round both ways good luck and enjoy your baby

i am 35wk3d preggo and I get pain in my upper left leg ALL the time. Its the sciatic nerve that runs through there and can get pinched very easily during pregnancy.

read this article..hope this helps and hang in there!

The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body, providing sensory and motor function to the lower extremities. This nerve provides sensation to the back of the thigh, lower part of the leg and the sole of the foot. Sciatic nerve pain is a periodic severe pain that occurs throughout your legs.

What causes sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy?
The sciatic nerve runs under your uterus to your legs. The cause of sciatic nerve pain is thought to be associated with pressure on the nerve caused by the developing baby.

What can I do to treat sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy?
The simplest remedy is to lie on your side, opposite of the pain. This may help relieve the pressure on the nerve. Avoid heavy lifting and minimize standing for long periods of time. If you experience pressure while standing, try elevating one foot and resting it on something. Swimming may also ease discomfort.

You may experience relief by applying heat or cold to the troubled area. Your health care provider may recommend acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

It is important to contact your health care provider if the pain becomes constant, or increases in severity or frequency.

When I was pregnant I had the same problem, my doc said It was just cramp but it was soo painful. You should get it checked out though as my friend had a blood clot in her leg when she was pregnant and was in hospital the last 2 weeks of pregnancy because of it

It could be varicose vein. Many pregnant women get it on their left leg. Start using a bandage but also check the leg with your GP.
