I think this is excellent t.v. and am thrilled to see they won best comedy. I think the acting is outstanding and there is always some type of morality story line. It is a refreshing break away from what I usually watch. I think this is the type of show that a parent would not be afraid for their teen's to watch, and you can't say that about too many shows on network tv these days. I love that she has braces and big eyebrows and a bigger body than perfect models do... so many can relate to her, she's great - and I have taken up Spanish lessons now, after realizing Spanish speaking people aren't so different than English speaking. If the show represents even some of the Latino population, I can't wait to learn the language and hopefully make some friends, they seem warm-hearted and full of life!

Its good... and you are right hopefully it will teach girls somthing different from what is out there. But I watch and prefer the spanish version..

Ugly Betty is my favorite TV show. I think that it also teaches girls that even though you may not be pretty they can still be successful.

ITs a fabulous show. did you hear America Ferrera's acceptance speech last night? (Golden Globes) She said pretty much just what you wrote here.

I love it!! It makes me laugh every week, and then there are the tear jerkers in there too.
